At Unforgettable Underdogs, every adoption is more than paperwork — it’s the beginning of a lifelong friendship. Here’s how we help make that match:

APPLY

Because all of our dogs live in loving foster homes, the first step to meeting them is filling out an adoption application. This helps us get to know you, your home, and what kind of companion you’re looking for.

    •    An approved application is required before scheduling a meet-and-greet.

    •    We ask that current and past pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies and distemper vaccines, and receive yearly wellness exams (exceptions can apply).

    •    Once we receive your application, our team will be in touch within 3-5 business days to guide you to the next step.

DISCUSS & MEET

We’ll work with you to set up a meet-and-greet, or, if it feels right, begin a “foster-to-adopt” period. This gives you and your potential new best friend the chance to settle in together and see if it’s truly the perfect fit.

FOSTER-TO-ADOPT / ADOPTION

Once you know it’s meant to be — congratulations!  At this stage, the adoption fee is collected in two payments, and you’ll head home with your dog’s folder, supplies (Leash/harness and Collar, Bag of food, Toys, Treats and any current medications), records, and any upcoming appointments. From that moment forward, you’re not just adopting a dog — you’re gaining a loyal friend, and joining a community that’s here to cheer you both on.

PAYMENT

Payment is collected in two separate transactions. 

• First payment in NON-REFUNDABLE and goes towards the total payment. 

•  Second payment is collected at time of adoption signing.

1-5: $300

6-8: $250

9+: $200/Adjusted
